Dan Hooks Appointed to the ARA Board of Directors as the Chairman of the Party and Events Shared Interest Group

Dan Hooks, President and CEO of Party Reflections, was recently appointed to the ARA Board of Directors as the Chairman of the Party and Events Shared Interest Group by the President-Elect.  Dan was installed onto the ARA National Board on the final day of The Rental Show this past February in Orlando and will serve a 3 year term.  The Board of Directors are responsible for managing ARA’s business and affairs, and consists of 19 members: 16 rental operators, two manufacturers/suppliers, and ARA’s Chief Executive Officer.

Shared Interest Group Chairs represent their segment of the ARA membership including Construction & Industrial Services, General Tool & Equipment Services, and Party & Event Services.  Dan describes the importance of the Party and Events Shared Interest Group to the larger ARA association in this way.

“It was an honor to be appointed to the ARA Board of Directors as the Chairman of the Party and Events Shared Interest Group.  Having served on the committee several times, I know the impact this committee can have on the future of the association and the industry.  Bringing special event rental companies together to discuss the issues facing our industry is invaluable to not only the companies involved, but the entire industry.” Dan Hooks, CERP

The Party and Events Shared Interest Group Committee recently met at the ARA headquarters in Moline, IL to discuss the overall vision and goals of the committee for the next three years under Dan’s leadership.  Dan set the tone for his tenure by sharing his vision for the committee and his role as the Chairman in the following way.   

“My role is to listen to the voices of the members and make sure the association is doing all it can to support its members. Our association has a broad range of companies in regards to size and scope, but I believe every member can benefit from the promotion of professional business principles and shared practices that membership can bring.  One of my main goals is to promote and increase the professionalism of the special event rental industry, so that our members are viewed as the experts in the field and get the respect they deserve for the hard work they do each day.”  Dan Hooks, CERP
